Utilizing Registered Nurses with extensive clinical backgrounds, The Health Plan coordinates care of injured workers to ensure appropriate treatment is received in a timely manner. The Health Plan Managed Workers' Compensation Program (MWCP) Case Management Team
Our Medical Case Management is the key to effective coordination of Workers' Compensation benefits and services. The Health Plan's Nurse Case Managers use a team approach while working with injured workers, employers and healthcare providers to identify goals for a safe and timely return to work.
The ability to consistently achieve successful outcomes results from The Health Plan's Managed Care expertise, experience and approach. By applying to Workers' Compensation claims all The Health Plan has learned about Managed Care over the last twenty years, the Managed Workers' Compensation Program eliminates needless medical costs and reduces lost time.
Our Nurse Case Managers are Registered Nurses and a majority have achieved Certification in Case Management (CCM). They are supported in the review of treatment plans by a full-time Medical Director who is a Medical Doctor (MD).
Nurse Case Managers act as patient advocates and respectfully treat all injured workers as individuals rather than a claim number. Employers receive continuous feedback from The Health Plan Managed Workers' Compensation Program regarding the progress of their cases.
